Jac Lewis Foundation
- To provide a preventative wellbeing and mental health service to the community of Ammanford and surrounding areas managed by professionally qualified counsellors and wellbeing advisors.
- To train up members of the community to become wellbeing mentors to support other members going through difficult times.
- To reduce the stigma of mental health and develop a culture within the community where it is okay to talk about mental health.
- To decrease mental health difficulties and increase the wellbeing and resilience of the community.
In 2022 we lost a very dear friend way to early – Dai played an active role in the local community of Llannon with the Young Farmers. He received excellent care at Ty Bryngwyn Hospice. Ty Bryngwyn Llanelli Hospice is a Designated Centre of Excellence providing specialist palliative care for the community of Carmarthenshire in the UK. It is the only Hospice in the area with inpatient facilities. Llanelli Hospice provides specialist palliative care both in the community and in its seven inpatient beds.
