2025 WAVE ALLOCATION EXPLAINED 

I have allocated every athletes to one of FOUR waves. Those expected to be competing for overall Race Victory in both Open and Female categories ( For TV Purposes ) together with all Youths & Junior have been placed in Wave 1 together with a mixed ability of athletes. The wave allocation does not reflect your race ability as based on your swim times I try to spread you all out over 4 waves so that we avoid too much congestion on the road.

This Year anyone who decides to start in a different wave to that allocated will be DQ’d – we will know from the Results so please don’t put us in this position as some athletes did in 2023 which caused some havoc with category winners on the day!!

 NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE TO ALLOCATED WAVES UNLESS YOU CONVINCE US THAT YOU WILL BE PUSHING FOR A TOP 3 OVERALL POSITION ( not category position )

Wave 1 – 7:00am
Wave 2 – 7:15am
Wave 3 – 7:30am
Wave 4 – 7:45am
