Upper Tywi Valley Area Team
The area team has been set up to encourage and delivery a variety of activities and events to ‘Get More People More Active More Often’ within the North East of Carmarthenshire the area which goes from Dryslwyn and Brechfa to Cynghordy. The team which consists of a Sports Development Officer, Park Rangers, Leisure Development Co-ordinator, Activity and Health Co-ordinator, Senior Attendants and Council Partners from Menter Bro Dinefwr and Brecon Beacons National Park aim to return and develop successful events which utilises the natural environment and resources with the area. Thus far the team has organised a Community Sports Event out of Llandovery College facilities where 300 participants took part in a range of sporting activities and also the return of the Llandovery Triathlon in Partnership with Healthy Life Activities. We hope to ensure these events will run annually with our support and work closely with other organisations to increase the number of events in the area.
